Good not great. I had heard a lot about this restaurant and was keen to try. The menu was not spectacular or original. Wine by the glass menus was quite limited. The quality of the food was good however. The gruyere souffl was very good. Service was average. A smile and attention does not cost a lot. I never understand why restaurants don’t spend more on staff training and performance management, 7 out 10 for me.
Great steak – although you can never order it because they are always sold out… I addressed this with the manager as they were out of said fillet steak for the third time running only to be told that it is very popular and that they often run out. Frequently on Sundays and Mondays a great chunk of the menu is sold out. A real shame as it truly lets the place down. A problem which could so easily be rectified by closely monitoring demand for popular menu items and ordering ingredients accordingly.
Have been to many great restaurants in Chiswick as of recently, unfortunately this didn’t fall in that category. Worst service I’ve ever had in my life, food was average, but not worth the price point. Especially with so many great options in the area.
Not enough wait staff. The service is wretched.
Abysmal service and an attitude of superiority from the staff made for a pretty awful experience. The food was okay, but overpriced and did not justify the apparent belief on the part of the staff that they were doing me a favour by allowing me to sit down. Thanks, but no thanks.
Chateaubriand very good, great atmosphere
Every time I’ve been here the service has been absolutely abysmal.
