Sunday was a great day, sunny and pleasant, so we picked our bikes and cycled to Yard Sale Pizza. The place is quite small, only 2 tables (as their core business seems to be take away). The decoration is very tasteful, simple and efficient in creating a nice mood. Music choice is great, and we quite enjoyed our stay there. Staff is super friendly, the pizzas were done in a very quick while (we ate in).And it’s a pity this is the only great things I can tell about the Yard Sale. The pizzas were unremarkable, for lack of a better word. I had the holy pepperoni and, while it was good, there are so much better places to have a similar pizza done properly. The crust/dough – which for me tends to be the deal breaker -, is too crispy, lacking substance and flavour. Granted the olive oil is amazing, and really revives it a bit, however the pizzas don’t hold their own. Despite the toppings being good, it’s not enough. Specially when coming against such tough competition. Really sad I have to rate the place so low, because the venue deserves better.
