Having to spend some time before meeting a friend on Holloway, I decided to have a proper breakfast and have finally given a try to this caf. Very clean and tidy, in contrast with many greasy spoons, I was pleasantly greeted by the lovely staff, immediately dealt with and served as soon as possible, a very positive note on the service. The food is nice, everything was pipping hot, and the portions on the big side. No issues in dealing with my allergies and always a smile on. The prices are more than reasonable, making it an excellent choice if you are on a budget and need to fill up.
I was a regular at this place during my university. This place offers food that’s pocket friendly and has good quality and quantity too. My personal favorite has been a custom made jacket potato with cheese beans and mushrooms. Me being a vegetarian always requested the chef to make something like this and he never said no. Happy Me and Tummy ! Salad served on the side is good enough to fill you up. Not to forget the Tea 😀
I would suggest they cooked their food with fresh ingredients. I ate a roast chicken and potatoes with veg meal. Forking out 6 + for a meal I feel is worth no more than your local fried chicken shop. The vegetables were microwaved. The chicken may have been also it was a grayish with a lack of taste and the potatoes were mundane and lacked any flavour. Genuinely felt this lacked any passion for culinary arts.
