About
We have a cafe/restaurant overlooking two bowling greens in Kensington Gardens Park, Lowestoft. The park is accessible from the seafront promenade, Kensington Road, Kirkley Cliff Road (opposite the CEFAS building and next door to St. Mary's School. All food is cooked fresh to order and wherever possible we provide homemade produce. We offer Specials such as roast or homemade pies etc. at the weekends in the winter months. Specials in the summer tend to be a different weekly featured salad such as Caesar, Greek, Nicoise etc. We provide a range of cakes and snacks all year and have a variety of ice lollies and Whippy ice cream in the warmer months. The staff are friendly and have a playful banter, with the owner pretending to shout at them for being dimwits! This is not to be misinterpreted as serious as I assure you it is good fun. Some customers come especially to be involved in the "abuse/banter"! We also have an Ice Cream Kiosk near the boating lake with canoes for rent in the warmer months. Come and enjoy a great view with friendly service, staff with a sense of humour, and fresh cooked food.
