  Fantastic!. The exterior of this little gem doesn’t look like much, but inside the restaurant is modern, clean, and efficient. The food is fantastic! The flavors are complex, spices are bold, portions are large, and prices are very reasonable. While staying in a nearby hotel for 2 months I ate at Abdul’s dozens of times and never got tired of their great food.

  Fantastic tasty food you wont be dissapointed. I have been going to Abduls, Wakefield for several years now and tried nearly every dish on the menu and they are all wonderful. So tasty, my favourite is the Lamb Nihari the lamb is so succulant and tender. The Place is spotless and has been awarded a 5 STAR rating which i can agree with. It has an open kitchen so you can see every thing going on it has a real ambiance. The staff are so freindly and the place is always busy so you need to get your seat quick you wont be dissapointed. The packaging is first class!!

  Excellent every time. We have been using Abduls on Broadway for a number of years. We have tried other places too that have been ‘OK’ but not a patch on Abduls. The food always tastes good no matter what you order and the different dishes have all tasted different to me (and my girlfriend). Yes, the staff are friendly and yes, the packaging is decent (if you’re bothered about that sort of thing) but the reason we return week on week is because they sell good food. It is a shame they don’t deliver (we travel a fair distance to them and would happily pay for delivery). It is also a shame they are so busy every night too… but I guess that is the price you pay for decent quality food huh?

  Waste of Time and Money, wont even fill you. Its sad to see that people on here have given this place a good review – and on what seems to be based on the look of the packaging and friendly staff. Although i will say that the staff are friendly, packaging isnt everything,a nd all that glitters is not gold. I have been to both the Pontefrcat Abdul and Wakefield Abdul on three seperate occasions, willing to give the place the benefit of doubt.I ordered a curry which tatsed nothing like how it is meant to be and was obvioulsy an amateur attempt. THE MEAT was GREASY, the chilli pepper shoved on top tasted HORRIBLE. I ordered a jlafrezi and I was essentially served a Tikka Masala. Jalfrzi is not meant to be creamy. This happened on all three trips, making me think that this place essentially serves the same curry, as my partners Balti was exactly the same.I suggest that you save your time and money (as the small packaging hardly contains any meal) and go into town. Al Nawaz, Spice Cottage and in particular Red Chilly 2 serve the best currys.Dont be tempted by the fast-food service feel to the place, unless you really want a fake Mcdonalds curry.The staff looked unclean with dishevveled and grubby clothes.Cant undesraytnd the good reviews on here-looks like people pherhaps only like one particular curry- the masala- the nations favourite,and havent tried anything else apart from that.This place will survive -UNFORTUNATELY, whilst hard working, authentic restaurants go down. how sad. AVOID.
