I found myself wondering around Maida Vale after the Carnival in Notting Hill and decided to give this place a go. The interior, divided in a more posh section on the front and a saloon area at the back, near the garden, is quite elegant and the prices match the area. The staff is highly efficient and friendly and the food well presented, of high quality and we’ll prepared. I decided to give a try to a couple of nibbles from the bar menu, a vegetables tempura and triple fried chips, and have been pleasantly surprised by the perfectly crispy and not too oily batter for the tempura and the tasty chips. There are some staff members that need to improve but all in all is a nice place to go to if in this part of London.

Poor service. My husband and I ate at The Warrington (upstairs restaurant) tonight and were very disappointed with the service. We ordered starters, main courses, and dessert. Service of the starters and main course were within an acceptable timeframe, although our water was not refilled. After this, though, we spent another 90 minutes at the restaurant – waiting for someone to take our dessert order, waiting 30+ minutes for our dessert (cheesecake, not made to order) to arrive, and then waiting until we were able to get someone’s attention to get the check and leave. We enjoyed the pub downstairs and suspect that the food service there would be good. The only parties that received prompt service in the restaurant seemed to be friends with the staff.
Loved it! Great London pub atmosphere downstairs, gourmet restaurant upstairs. Oysters amazing!
Gordon really should save his own restaurants before fixing others. The food was mediocre, the setting was dismal and atmosphere was nonexistent. This really was a Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmare.
Loved it!. It is hidden inside the Warrington Hotel. But this was a great meal… Very elegant. Don’t forget to try the Banana Bread beer!!!!
