Awful experience last Sunday food was so bad and complained to the manager he just didn’t care, We ordered loads of dishes none of them was up to the stranded they were before . this will be our last visit to this restaurant staff didn’t give a damn when you complain.
Sundays seems to be my Thali day, I ventured down to east ham again where there’s a array of authentic Indian restaurants serving up cheap food. I went to anjappar as they are one of the only indian restaurants that serve non meat and is also halal. I went for the chicken Thai, costing 7.99. I was not that impressed with this meal. Chicken was on the bone and was not very fresh. The rest of the items where average apart from one of the daals. The place was pretty empty compared to taste of India or savaan which where buzzing. Lesson learnt. Don’t go here for good food. I also tried a dum biryani and keema dosa. Both rubbish. halalfoodguy.co.uk
The serve very good food, the taste of masala brings you feel you been back to home. Tried their signature dish deer fry . Service was little shabby though
You get decent South Indian food here for reasonable prices.Tried few dishes including Chicken Kothu Parotta/Idyappam, Soup, Mutton Sukka Varural and Thalis.. explorewithtripti.com
If Home styled yummy Chettinad /Deccan fingerlicking hot yet flavourful food is your thing then walk right in.And the best part is it’s quiet decently priced not too cheap like other joints in the Vicinity a.little pricey than those but well worth every penny spent .The ambience is fillial, Clean and staff is attentive, well versed with the menu and prompt.Love most of the stuff on the menu but the Following are a Must tryChicken 65 starter.NATTU KOZHI MASALA (hot in terms of chilly)Kottu Paratha (crisp Paratha stuffed with choice.of.meat or Eggs.) similar to Baida Roti.Lachha Parathas are crisp yet soft just how they should be flawless The Kaal dosa (1 portion has 02 pcs) is yummy. This tends to be thicker than your normal dosa so it kinda soft centred like an Uttapam yet crispy goes brilliantly with sambar. The Sambaar is thick, yummy,Tempered with a balance of fresh vegetables yet of pouring consistency Not watered down like other restaurants. All their chutneys served with dosas and idli are.Home made and yum especially the Tomato chutney. The special Chicken Biryani suggest the one made chicken on the bone as Boneless chicken tends to taste very Dry and lacks Flavour. This should be your thumbrule no matter what preparation you eat when it comes to Meat or Chicken.NATTU KOZHI biryani served in the Authentic way with spicy red gravy and fresh whipped curd.Idlis with sambaar either dipped or served separately.I for one always request for a soup bowl portion with my dosas.Their Thalis are good too.You can check with the staff about the different vegetables for the day as they tend to variate daily for the Thali. Can’t wait to go back soon
Tried this place twice as I was happy with the chennai restaurant of theirs and thought maybe they will improve…waited for almost an hour for the food…the biriyani was mediocre, the Indian Chinese dishes like fried rice were good but never make the mistake of ordering chappatis and you will be kept waiting for another half an hour…quantity of food is good but lacks quality…
Food is very good and very reasonably priced. One can almost get a very close authentic taste to the original anjappar in india. But service and ambience is very bad.
