I went to The Manor Arms today for a roast lunch and I’ve got to be honest am disinclined to ever go back.The one lady – a manager I think – with heavy eye-liner and blonde hair look liked she was chewing a wasp. She was furious with her staff and very rude at all times. When asking her question; her responses were angry, impatient and mean. One of my guests suggested she must have voted ‘Leave’ for Brexit, because she clearly doesn’t like foreigners. But there seemed to be a lot of antagonism between the staff, so maybe her mood was contagious. Having worked in restaurants, I would get rid of her quickly.To make matters worse, the Roast lunch was very bland – overladen with dry potatoes, boring parsnips and not enough gravy to wet a cheese biscuit. Overpriced too, if one thinks about it. To be fair the cabbage was excellent.A pub with huge potential ruined by an average lunch and a staff body that hates working there and dislikes customers.

The food is okay but not incredible – a good pizza and a pint deal for 10, although don’t think i would be too impressed without the deal. Very well condotioned ales and quite a few on. Relaxed and friendly staff.
