The Getti Restaurant is close to the street where i live and neighbourhood- Marylebone. I go there very often, because of the nice Italian food they offer in their various menu. I can recommend Spaghetti Carbonara, Frittura Mista, Polletto Alla Diavola.The wine list is attractive as well i can advice you to order an enjoyable Chardonnay Delle Langhe Doc BatasioloService is nice as well, but the unconvenient fact is that if you have not booked a table in advance you have to wait too much, because of the fact that this place gets packed nearly every night.Price there are acceptable for the area, few minuties from Oxford Street by walk.
I’m going to get straight to the point – the service at Getti’s is truly awful. Abysmal. My companion and I arrived for lunch and it was packed which is no surprise given it’s prominent position in the heart of Marylebone, one of Londons more upmarket areas. We were promptly seated but it went downhill from there fast. It took 5 minutes before a menu appeared. Another 5 to order drinks. Nobody seemed to have a clue as to what was going on or even care. Sometimes service can suffer during busy periods but the staff here were surly, disinterested and had a poor attitude throughout which completely spoiled our dining experience.The food, for what’s its worth, is nothing special. Sub Carluccio’s fare at best. We didn’t pay for service and shall not be returning.
Excellent, authentic Italian food, made to perfection, as I remember when i lived in Rome. The wine list is extensive, with choice from around the country. Service is good, and typically italian, warm and friendly. I recommend the tiramisu and pizza. To die for!
Still there?. My friend and I ate at Getti’s several times while at school in London. This was about 11 years ago – happy to see it is still around. I don’t even remember what we ate but we liked it.
