Amazing shop with the opportunity to eat inside, I love the concept and I’m tempted to buy everything every time I put my feet inside!I went there many times, to grab some cheese, for brunch, for a fondue at 4pm on a Saturday.. and the last time for an aperitivo before dinner.I was with a friend and we decided to go for the French cheese plate and two glasses of wine suggested. The cheese is always amazing and 100% comparable to what you would get in France. The wine was nice and well combined. Would recommend it! Be aware that the kitchen closes quite early in the evening unfortunately..
I’m going to stop short of giving this place 5* for one reason only – the staff. I’m lucky to eat all over the world regularly, but rarely have I come across staff with such a shit attitude. Can’t fault the food there, in particular the cheese, obviously, which is home to some of the best varieties in London. However, the guys who work in the cheese shop have the customer service skills of a corpse. Sort it out La Fromagerie, or I’ll start going elsewhere quickly. Nevertheless, the cheese there is still great.
The venue is at the same time a showcase of traditional products (cheeses, meats, nuts, tinned food, etc.) you can buy as grocery shop or eat-in. It has a mix of rustic (tables and benches) with sophisticated decor with a cosy ambience. For cheese lovers, must visit the cold room of the cheeses! Nice service, products with excellent quality and price is ok. It’s worth a visit!
I went there today and loved the concept immediately. Its a grocery shop where yoi can buy French goodies and where you can also go for brunch. Because its so popular youll have to queue. We only had 2 couples in front of us and we’ve waited almost 30m. Ive ordered the eggs benedict and also the french toast. The French toast was our favourite, so good and delicious. Service was quite slow, so make sure you’re not in a hury misslillysjourneys.wordpress.com
It’s one of those places you can’t just go try or go once for an experience. You have to keep returning! This place will have you addicted in no time. I ordered a simple Black Iced Americano to order, but being a coffee addict I need to try their other coffees too. What I did order to eat was the Burrata and Crisp Speck with Figs! Since I was alone, I happily sat in the corner with my book, I devoured my lunch in quite deliberation and happy disposition. The dish was absolutely delicious. Simple, fresh, clean and wholesome. I impulsively also ate a doughnut just because I was feeling like a fatty, but I didn’t regret it either, melted in my mouth, just so tasty. :)I ended up buying artichokes on the way out, with not even the rarest idea I would be buying them when I entered. I have tried their cheese before, and this will be a place that I will now be frequenting every other Sunday, for brunches or brie! 😉
So this is what it’s like to die and go to cheese heaven. The look and feel of La Fromagerie screams effortless cool but is surprisingly staffed by friendly, knowledgable staff who appear to love the foodstuffs as much as the patrons.First things first, breakfast at the restaurant is amazing. The concentration, unsurprisingly, is on letting the true flavours of the food sing through simple recipes. Service was excellent and the latte delicious. Now, the produce: The smoked salmon is made in-house and is so tasty; the bread is to die for; and you can pick up some amazing cheeses that shockingly won’t break the bank. All in all, this is a foodies paradise but can definitely be appreciated by anyone visiting the neighbourhood. You made my day 🙂 maggieandfood.wix.com
Could be better. Cheese shop with a restaurant facility in Marylebone. Incredible choice but 40 gbp for 4 small/medium portion types of cheeses is over priced. Same situation for fruits and vegetables, with astonishing prices.Service during our visit was very sloppy and unfortunately unprofessional, and the advice on wines was not really efficient.Used to be better years ago.
