I was at OPSO for a friend’s birthday dinner. Despite it was a weekday, the room downstairs was really busy with another party next to us, which made it extremely noisy and the service slightly slow at the start (the only downside to my experience). We had the group menu, which consists of various many sharing platters. Everything was splendid and there was plenty of food for everyone. The delicious finger food varied from crispy fried cheese, great quality olives, hummus and other spreads to go with a tempting variety of homemade bread, to anything else in between. The highlights? The lovely feta & spinach tart and the lamb (oh, the lamb!). The chocolate birthday cake came just at the right time… just because there’s always some room left for dessert!
Despite the quality of the food and the nice service, Brunch at Opso was sort of a disappointment. I had a really good serving of eggs, chips and tomato as well as half a serving of choco combo pancakes. The food was really good, however, we were charged for a bottle of still water (which I found very unusual) and a service fee of 4. Both these extra expenses resulted in a total of 8 which were unexpected, and in my opinion, unjustified.
Opso is a really nice little restaurant walking a fine line between traditional and modern. It balances warmth, funkiness, comfort and coolness in a unique way. With a good wine list and easy on the pocket, it’s a great choice for a spot of lunch or dinner. I highly recommend the koulouri bread, roast beet salad, Lemon oregano chicken, pastitsio box and lamb shank yiouvetsi. Leave room for dessert and indulge in loukoumades!
Great to find an innovative Greek restaurant, they’re usually very traditional and predictable. Highlight – Salmon burger. Love the style of eating; small bites and various different tastes. We planned to get mains but all the small bites filled us instead. The desserts were too sweet in my opinion (ice cream sandwich and donuts). They have good wine that’s affordable. Presentation of all the food was special (see pics) and the service was very good.Ask for a table upstairs, it feels like a completely different (modern and vibey) restaurant compared to downstairs.
Amazing restaurant and amazing food!We went on a Saturday night to have some Greek food. You can share many tapas if you are in a group. Three tapas each are enough to feel full! Nice atmosphere and staff very kind and organized
My favourite restaurant. Amazing food, cooked incredibly well and always lovely service. I have eaten here with my fianc or our extended family on many occasions and they deliver every time. In fact I think I am overdue another visit.
Sleek place with creative menu! All dishes are in small portion like starter size so you can try many things. I had beetroots salad which is very refreshing. The feta cheese in the salad tastes much nicer than the normalOne you get from the supermarket. I order chicken and salmon as main. They both perfectly cooked and seasoned. They also has an interesting nonalcoholic drink menu. I had Pomagranate Tea which is freshly made not the instant one. If you like coffee and don’t drink dairy. They use bonsoy which is the best soymilk in the market. The staffs are very nice, very friendly. So far my experience is amazing but if you looking for a large manly portion this might not be the place.
