On a grey and rainy Monday afternoon, I was in Marylebone and in desperate need of shelter and sustenance. After passing several coffee shops which didn’t appeal, I happened upon the Prince Regent and spent a very happy few hours there, curled up with a couple of glasses of very nice Sauvignon Blanc. I had some chips (yummy, thick, piping hot) and when my friend joined me later we split a cheeseboard too. In the evenings I imagine it’s pretty hopping and fun (it was filling up swiftly by quarter to five when I departed), but it’s also a great spot for an afternoon meeting or a spot of writing.
