Came here for the salt beef and it was worth it. Had the salt beef in rye, the double decker reubens specialty and minestrone soup and they were all very good. Service is a bit slow though. Run by family members and you can feel that 🙂
If you could give a minus number, I would. Food ok, but charged on credit card for food not ordered, staff then hurled abuse and threats when asked for refund. On speaking to friends, I have discovered this is a regular scam at Reubens: avoid this restaurant unless you enjoy being ripped off.
Not the finest example of haimische food. I would be saddened if this was your only experience of Jewish cookery. It could be so much better. I find the food heavy and stodgy. The only reason to go, in my view, is if you are actually adhering to the laws of kashrut and require the meal to be kosher. Otherwise, why would you? thefoodjudge.com
