A lack-lustrous experience with sloppy service. Only pro side was that you could get a dosa in Marylebone but if you are after an authentic taste at great value, you will be spoiled for choice outside zone one. The staff was a bit pushy with guests to order more. Considering it was just noon, I found it was not only annoying but unacceptable.
One of the most horrible places for Indian food. The quality of the food was so bad that it does not even deserve a mention. Further, the service was poor where the manager was more interested in chatting with his waitresses. Never ever going there again!
As a restaurant serving vegetarian-friendly people, it was quite a treat specially for travellers/visitors residing at nearby hotels. Good location, ample space inside, warm ambience. We ordered red wine and water. Starters were presented well but could do a bit with a scope of improvement in the layout. Could do if the main course quantity be increased to suit the money’s worth. Good food, authentic taste,fantastic place to eat out with family and friends. I had a great experience however what did bother me though was the manager at woodlands on Sunday 17th. He was so rude to the girl serving us and to this lady who was walking aided by her assistant and a stick. She was trying to go to the restroom and cause woodlands Marylebone doesn’t have a wheelchair access toilet she had to climb a few stairs! With much difficulty due to her condition she was trying to do this and her assistant and grandchild were helping. This manager in a slightly loud stern tone asked them to close the toilet door, asked her assistant & grandchild to leave the area. I was appalled at his behaviour especially when he can see why the lady has people helping her. I wish the management would hire empathetic trained staff and have a wheelchair access toilet for other people who need assistance to climb stair. So disappointed!!
Have been here twice. First visit at 6.30 in the evening. Service was good. Masala dosai was lovely, as was the sambar. Not a very generous serve of coconut chutney though. Second visit we arrived at 6pm. Other patrons arrived at the same time. We were all still waiting for our food 45 minutes later. Dosa was again very nice. Mix up with second dish though we didn’t mention it. For the type of food I feel it’s overpriced.I’m wondering if they are having trouble finding staff?
Was craving some Indian food away from home. This place let me travel entire India through my tongue. Simple yet on point with its spices and Masala. Would definitely recommend this place to every one who wants to try out an Indian cuisine
Very over priced! The quantity is way too less even for a kid. The food was not fresh. Being a South Indian restaurant , the dosas were bad.
