Found this little pub whilst looking around for a place to have a quick late lunch, and this seemed the only pub to still be serving food. The food was tasty, though it felt rushed especially for the money we paid – 2x burgers and chips with a coke and beer 28 which is pretty expensive for the bad state of the burger. The staff were friendly and engaging, they made conversation with us and even other customers engaged in conversations with us which was lovely. The ambience was very friendly, a nice family/ neighbourhood atmosphere. The pub was very traditional with wooden chairs and tables, a lovely eating area.Great to go for a late lunch.
The William Morris is a hidden gem. What makes this place so great is the location: it is tucked away in Colliers Wood and has the most stunning view of the river. Sitting outside with a cold drink really can’t be beaten in the Summer!The pub has quite a sleepy feel to it and is normally quite quiet. The service is good and always friendly.All in all, I would recommend you to get drinks at the William Morris on a pleasant day/evening, so you can appreciate its lovely surroundings.
