Hee’s used to be mine and my famillies favourite Chinese restaurant and there would never be a question about where to go if we wanted Chinese food. However a few years back we had some bad experiences with the food being greasy and cold and as a result stopped coming here. However I have come back a couple of times in the last 6 months or so and the food has returned to how it was. Maybe a few more visits will result in a higher score but for now a 3.5 seems suitable
Criminally underrated as of the last few years, Hee’s is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. And that’s saying something.The food is a mix of classic Chinese dishes known here and authentic, traditional dishes that the attentive staff are more than happy to explain and tell if they think you’d enjoy or not. Everything I’ve ever had here has been delicious to the nth degree.The food is quick to come out and is displayed beautifully in the classic decor.The atmosphere is very relaxed and, with slightly dimmed lights and soft music playing, could easily play the set for a romantic evening or a great family dinner.
