Amazing. I was there last week. It was my first visit and I did not expect an evening like this! Everything was superb from the service to the food. The manager really takes care of all the customers and helps to match the dish you order to the best wine. Fresh, high quality food!! I really enjoyed my meal, I would highly recommend Osteria dellAngolo.
First couple of visits led us to believe we might have found an exceptional restaurant, especially the meal on our second visit. Not the case however on our third vist.We had a rather boring amuse-bouche and a couple of quite bland dishes, based on this it does look like the Osteria has lost its wow factor. noexpert.co.uk

Shocking service. We popped in for a late dinner last night. The food was good, but the service was a problem. The matre d (possibly filling in for too few servers?) forgot our contorni and our three coffees. We decided to just ask for bill, and found we had been charged for them. When I asked to have the coffees and the service charge removed, he was insulting, rude and aggressive, returning to the table several times to berate me and my guests. It was pretty startling and embarrassing. One would expect a restaurant with these high prices to have impeccable service, as well as food, or at least a gracious matre d who knows when to apologize that things werent up to expectations.
Amazing water. This Italian restaurant near Lambeth Bridge looks a little serious for the average diner walking in off the street, but the welcome is warm and gracious. Throughout my meal, in fact, the service was flawless — effortlessly elegant. courteous, and prompt. Regarding the food: it sounds like a back-handed compliment, but the sparkling bottled water carried the meal. It was astonishingly good. So was the olive oil, which they serve with fresh bread – deep flavors, a hint of truffle. The maitre d’ informed me that they get the water from a small private distributor in Italy. The olive oil, I think he said, was from the Lazio region. I ordered a risotto; he suggested a salad (not on the menu) to accompany it, since the risotto took 25 minutes to make. Hm, maybe I should’ve read between the lines. The salad was a perfect combination of fresh tart greens, lightly dressed. Clearly their purveyors are first rate. However, the risotto, which made its appearance earlier than expected – something that seldom bodes well – was bland and disappointing. Five slivers of overcooked asparagus in the spring does not a spring risotto make. Great on color, though – the chef doesn’t skimp on the saffron. I decided to stop my meal there, since (with a glass of wine) I was already in for 30 pounds. All in all I like this restaurant (especially the water! . . . and the waiters) but feel I paid a bit too much for it. Were I to return, I’d ask the maitre’ d for recommendations, and I’d be sure go when I was feeling very hungry and flush, and willing to order several dishes.
