Total let down. We normally enjoy our Atky’s treat.My partner walked down tonight 1/7/2014 to get us a treat as was nice night and we fancied chips.He ordered 1 chip bun with a jumbo sausage and NO salt and 1 fish and chips.The girl serving was far to busy gossiping with the other member of staff that she did not include the sausage and had put salt on this was inedible and the chips were over coooked and disgusting. Now had the staff being paying more attention to their job then we would have had better service and not paid for food we did not get.

A quick google listed Atkinsons but there were some bad reviews and I was nervous as have had far too many meal disasters recently. Thought I’d give it a shot and was so glad I did. Went for takeaway option as it was a lovely day. Excellent service, freshly cooked haddock in a light tasty batter, bright golden crispy chips with fluffy centres straight from the frier, lovely thick onion-y chip shop gravy, bread and butter bap… all for about 6. It was all perfect and all the right questions asked, salt and vinegar?, sauce on the chips or seperate?, open or wrapped?, would you like forks? … from the very helpful young man serving.Living in Birmingham visiting a Fish and Chip shop like this was a dream, treat yourself! Just wish I lived closer…

The place very light and modern clean good decor and the food was excellent we had the fish &chips bread and butter and pot of tea -the fish came with a generous slice of lemon and I can safely say the best fish and chips ever.We had a dessert (apple pie and Lewis’s ice cream) between us as we were very full and this also excellent. A mention has to be given to the friendly, attentive and efficient staff which madethe whole experience 5star.Highly recommended will be back for sure
Great Morecambe Fish & Chip Restaurant. Like all the best fish & chip restaurants this one also has a take away attached. A popular place with modern interior, it does fill up quickly. The fish & chips were excellent. Service not so good – very dozy waitress who could not remember the order, then said they had no Panini, then said the cappuccino machine was broken, then forgot the mushy peas… oh well, its the food that counts at the end of the day.
