  Review. Tingley Balti House is very very good, although its sister restaurant at Gilerdersome is terrible, with poor service and rude staff.22 Jan, 2012Review. Tingley balti house is excellent. Cannot fault it. However, its sister restaurant – The Elamis, at Gildersome is absolutely terrible. After hours and hours of waiting, we finally got served. However, the service was so poor that it was impossible to ask for anything. We were totally ignored. All we wanted was a drink of water but were unable to get one. The staff were more interested in constantly dealing with takeaways at the same time, rather than the customers in the restaurant. I did try to have a word with the person in charge that night about the problem and he shouted at me aggressively to shut up. Why? – because he was taking yet another order for a takeaway whilst dealing with (or rather ignoring) customers in the restaurant. None of our party of eight will go again, despite being local and none of their friends will go again because it was just so unbelievably bad. I have been before and it was bad but it has got far worse. It is good to have a business that has become popular but taking as much money as possible rather than offering a good service, can be detrimental to customers and eventually the business.
