I rather suspect that if you’re eating at TJ’s you’re probably not reading online reviews before making your decision. However, in the interests of sharing information here’s one. TJ’s is a classic London greasy spoon of the sort that is probably becoming endangered now that the city seems to have discovered you can charge a shitload more if you hire a decent barista, serve smashed avocado, and deck the place out so hipsters want to eat there.Anyway – so you probably know what to expect. You either like this sort of thing or you don’t. I do. It’s great. It’s a sausages, eggs chips and beans sort of place. The complete opposite of pretentious. Friendly, welcoming, warm and cheap. The food’s not going to win any awards, but you can’t argue with a solid breakfast. I hope TJ’s is there for many years to come.
