About
Emmaus Mossley is a charity that supports 26 companions (formerly homeless people) by providing them with a home and work in a community setting. Most of the funding needed to sustain the charity is raised through the Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore and Lucie's Cafe. Emmaus Mossley is situated over three floors in Longlands Mill, an old cotton mill. The retail, workshop and office space covers the first two floors and the community is situated above. We have a car park where customers can drive in to drop off their donations and then have a mooch around and re-fill their car before having a spot of lunch in our cafe. Emmaus Mossley is unique in that our companions (the people we support) work in every area of our social enterprise. Without their skills, experience, hard work and dedication our charity would not function, sustain and grow.
