Maison Blanc is part of world reknowned chef Raymond Blanc’s empire and as such the food is of a high standard. It’s fairly standard cafe fare (sandwiches, pastries, coffee etc) but it’s made with care and uniformly delicious. However, this particular branch is short on character and the service on my visit was poor. None of the floor staff were particularly attentive, and one or two tables had to actively attract a waiter to initiate their meals. This was a shame, because the food is actually rather good. If only the ambiance and staff matched…
