After reading the lovely reviews on TripAdvisor we made a special visit today to Derby and planned our lunch at Cafe LaVanta – but it was closed! It was around lunch time, closed sign on door no other notice. Very disappointed ?
Freshly prepared food, served with courtesy and a smile. A lovely range of Mediterranean dishes, and a very good value soup and sandwich for lunch served with a fresh and interesting salad.
If you have never been to Lavanta you do not know what you are missing. Charming owner, simple food done very well in a relaxed environment, just try it.
