About
A full renovation three years ago has restored the Woodlands Hotel to all its luxurious glory, set in large landscaped grounds on the outskirts of Leeds. It has 17 rooms and a 70-seat restaurant made up of three elegant dining spaces. Each of the Bentley Rooms has high ceilings, original Victorian cornices and fireplaces, wooden floors, dark leather dining chairs and bright white walls. And all overlook beautiful gardens. The modern British a la carte menu focuses on regional, seasonal produce such as lamb shank and duck. It changes monthly, but there are always dishes from the grill. We have been considering Woodlands for our Christmas Day lunch and decided to try out the restaurant before booking. I’m very happy to say it was a lovely meal, the food and service were first class and we have no hesitation in returning at Christmas.
