The Lock Keepers Coffee House & Bar sits on the river just along from Newark Castle; it's the old Lock Keepers cottage, built early 1800s. With outdoor sitting areas it is a beautiful spot to watch the boats go by, with three rooms inside, plus a fresh water well and an open fire for colder evenings. The menu is small but steadily growing with baked potatoes, paninis and sandwiches (all freshly prepared so you can mix n match your fillings, tho a little patience is appreciated :-)). Beautiful wines from small top quality vineyards, great cakes and scrumptious scones plus free WiFi, free venue hire for small groups (up to 50)and dog fiendly. Be great to see you here!
