The bar is a part of the historical Cambridge Union located in an over 160 years old Victorian Gothic building right in the heart of Cambridge's city centre, and known for its famous guest celebrities and debates that we proudly serve at. Our place is open to the public, whole day every day, and provides an array of different things, starting from coffees, sandwiches, and pastries in the morning, through wine, beer, and one of the best cocktails in town, and finishing off with buffets, workshops, and private bookings. The 1815 bar is the perfect place for a relaxing break in the Cambridge city centre. Lined with signed photographs of famous guests - from Robert Downey Junior to Buzz Aldrin - and with authentic vintage wooden floors, chandeliers, deep leather chairs, and one of the best gardens in town, 1815 is like no other, offering a unique historic setting. Fantastic bar with wonderful and friendly staff – its such a hidden gem, but definitely worth a visit while you’re in Cambridge. The cocktails are simply incredible.
Right in the middle of Cambridge and a great place to enjoy and beer or two. Good outside seating to sit and enjoy the sun. Good selection of beers and lagers, a visit is recommended. Staff very polite and friendly.
