Ambience, food, service, location: EVERYTHING here is spot on! My time in Exeter would have been incomplete without this restaurant- wooden walls with old school framed posters, authentic italian food and some great liquor, friendly staff at an accessible-to-all location. It was the place you go to for a date, or take your guests for an authentic meal, or to celebrate your birthday. Ive done atleast 2 of those things apart from dinner at new years eve. Its the place that made me drool over italian food, specially cannelloni- I havent better in 7 years and I dont think I cam give a better compliment than that. Their tiramisu was also unique and the 2 together with your favourite liquid poison were a treat for the soul 🙂 Sincerely and blindly recommended to any one reading this. You could try it at its other locations as well ( London and Scotland are what I can remember). The pastas and pizzas were also A-mazing but that cannelloni stole the show!

Is the food really authentically Italian? No, it isn’t. You wouldn’t expect protein, starch and veg all on one plate then. But the sea bream with roasted potatoes, beans, red onions, tomatoes and olives with salsa verde was light, we’ll prepared and light. The skin on the fish was not crisp but it’s flesh was succulent and not overdone. The vegetables were fresh and well cooked. All had retained their individual flavour and we’re exactly right. It wasn’t culinary greatness but it was a good meal.
