Bar nibbles are The Oak’s strength. The chef does a great job and I’m a big fan of their Calamari and Chunky Chips. It’s in walkable distance of Kingston station but tends to be quite forgotten.While the service is friendly, it tends to be slow and confused.The decor is also quite off-putting: bright green walls and ceiling with a black chandelier is at odds with the rest of the interior. In winter, the pub usually feels colder inside than it is outside, which is a great shame.
