Affogato is a fine coffee and gelato company who havejust opened up this weekin Norbury, firmly cementing Norburys status as an up and coming area.Affogato gives a vintage feel of a Starbucks that you would find in the west end, layered with charisma, While still keeping its originality of South London brand as its owned by a local family.Two of the family members was on hand to invite customers in as well as have a chat. (How many times have you spoken to the owners of Starbucks or Pret?) Having spoken to them, you can tell how much pride and passion they have to make Affogato a success, which was a welcomed change from chain companies that are more interested in taking your money and miss that common touch.The waiters and waitresses are polite and warm which is especially welcome on a cold winters day as we are having and expected to have, also the staff are well-informed and know there store well, considering they only opened this week is a testament to the management.As a family business, based in my home town I really want Affogato to succeed..but there is weight behind my words as they make great coffees and hot chocolates as well as their homemade ice creams with a varied selection to choose from.Clean,bright and modern interior welcomes you in to the shop in comparison to other shops nearby and with not that many coffee shops with a combination of a Gelato, Im sure they will be a success.Whether you just want to warm up from the cold or surf the Internet with free wifi Affogato is the place to be in Norbury.One negative point though, is that of the pastries being priced slightly high considering the area.Cost 4 upward Coffee and pastriesGroup size 2 6 pplLocation 1457 London Rd, London, SW16 4LS carlstimeout.com
