The location of the restaurant is probably the best part of it. Two wooden cottages just by the stream, surrounded by trees, with ducks floating in the water – it’s a marvel. You can hire a boat and enjoy a ride in the stream as well.The decor is beautiful and old style, the side towards the stream is open, which can be closed if it’s too windy. The menu is simple and short, but I really don’t mind if the food is great. The best part of the menu was that it had enough vegetarian starter and main course options. I opted for quail for the starters and it came in beautifully decorated. It was perfectly cooked and tasted great. For mains, I opted for run eye steak and it was a good dish to choose. The steak was a little chewy, and I thought, for the price being charged, they could have improved the portion size. Overall a great experience, and a must visit in Oxford.
