Having read all the reviews on here praising the food, I was rudely awoken from my gourmet dream to the reality of this pub’s food. It’s one thing to have frozen chicken on display in the kitchen ready to be defrosted, it’s another for the food to taste worse than the average sandwich I could make at 5% of the price. The ‘famous wings’ are dreadfully small, perhaps the reason they are not specified as being from a chicken is because they are from sparrows. At a minimum of 75p per wing one would expect something above the standard of high street chicken shops. Unfortunately they fall far short of even that – if KFC is Usain Bolt, the Bohemia is a kid with no legs. The Bohemia is so far down in a league of its own that I am shocked at how many people praise their quality of food. Frankly the only time I have ever regretted eating a restaurant or pub meal, they must have a special ability that can make chicken wings taste bad. To replicate their wing recipe take a sparrow’s wing, dip it in vinegar until soggy and serve. Yes, the atmosphere is nice but nothing could make up for that food. The reason why I’m angry is not just because of the wings but because it is approx 15 per head when a better meal is sitting in a supermarket fridge in the form of a microwaveable burger.
