Fab place that I am now a regular at as I moved in around the corner last year. Great breakfast, great food, great team and service – including the owner who I love, she is the heart and soul of this place so don’t know what the bad reviews are about. It is what small independents are all about and I rarely write reviews but saw bad words said and wanted to let the people who have not been to not be put off! I’m a lucky local to this deli and visit it weekly if not daily. I love their coffee and how much care they take to make it. I also buy take home meals during the week. It offers lots of really good food and there’s always a buzzy atmosphere on a busy lunch. Fresh sandwiches can take some time to prepare but are worth the wait.
Love this place, as a local and customer since it opened over 4 years ago I cannot recommend it enough and I know many other locals who would say the same, great food, great coffee, amazing sandwich menu all freshly made as well as lovely homemade meals perfect when home late from work and you don’t want to but a supermarket ready meal. All the more reason lately with the horse meat scandal. Also despite other review I have always found the staff to be polite, friendly and unbelievably helpful.
The staff are very friendly once they know your face & are on hand to recommend what’s good on a daily basis. I just ate a piece of peanut & chocolate cheesecake WOW.
Rude. Totally agree with previous reviewers. I too live v nearby, but every time I visited I have been put off by the rudeness of the owner. I wish to support local (and v convenient) independent business but I will not give her another chance.
Rude owner. We have been going here on and off for about a year but had the final visit today. The owner/manager is routinely rude (so I agree with the other reviewer). It is no way to run a small local business. We have tried to be supportive but she seems intent on being rude to customers.
This place should be great, it’s a few minutes walk from my house and I would be in there everyday. Would, but the food is crappy stodge under the guise of being homemade. Corpulent woman who runs the place is routinely rude as are the rest of her staff. Don’t go there, I’m all for local place but I’d rather go to Starbucks than here for a coffee.
