Service at Johnny Gurkha. The restaurant failed to respond to a letter complaining of poor service. From the point of having our starters we waited over an hour for the main meal to arrive. We almost left in frustration when they convinced us to stay. There was a large party of twelve or so which monopolised the service. We stayed the meal was excellant, but the service and the atmosphere was awful. They did not even acknowledge our letter of complaint . Its a shame as the food is brilliant, just think the service in the last year seems to have fallen away. We have for several years gone to JGs and have enjoyed several splendid meals and the service has alway been exemplary but for the last visit. And now I cannot return because of the principle of it all. JGs does not care about its custom at this moment in time and is in decline livimng of its former reputation !!

Yum Yum-What a bargain. On Wednesday and Thursday nights they do a banquet night (8.95 for popadums, starter, main, rice or naan and side).I went for the first time last night and will definitely be going again. The food was delicious, lots to choose from. Service was also great.Such a bargain, well worth a visit again and again.

Great curries in this basement restaurant, with three courses for under a tenner on Wednesday & Thursday evenings.
