Shapla pit stop. I have absolutely nothing bad to say regarding the food at this delightful old style indian restaraunt. Very tasty and very reasonably priced.The only complaint we have with the place is the mind boggling speed at which the dishes arrived and disappeared from the table.Mcdonalds have nothing on these boys. I think the staff have been headhunted from the Wiliiams F1 pit crew. There were 10 of us out for a birthday celebration with a table booked for around 8 o’clock. We have been there before and were aware of the speed of service so we ordered our starters and said we would order the main when we had finished. This was an attempt to manage to stay in the place long enough to finish our first drink.All went well, and wine, beer and other drinks were ordered. The starters were finished and the main meals ordered. I cannot imagine the punishment awaiting the last waiter back into the kitchen, I thought they were on skates!There is nothing more off putting when eating out than having to tell over eager waiting staff to leave the bloody clearing up until we have finished eating.Whatever you do dont take both hands off any plate you would wish to keep long enough to finish the food on it. At one stage I thought that they were going to bring out a bucket of water and start the washing up where we sat.They cant have been expecting another sitting after us surley. 10 out of 10 for the food. 1 out of 10 for a pleasent birthday night out.Wont be back I’m afraid.
