Not worth the money. Ate here last night…..quality of rib eye steak not very good…..frozen chips that are cooked in the oven therefore some cooked some not………tempura prawns very greasy…..quite expensive for the quality of food served…..wont eat here again……try biggles restaurant in denham or palm suite restaurant in iver for good food.

I dont think the chef gives a duck!. Went for a meal at the Duck last night, first impressions where lovely, nice ambient rooms. After being seated we where then passed bye for our orders while a table of four got served, they arrived after us! Starter took a little while to come but no problem, in fact not bad starters, then came the main meal, i had the rib eye steak, terrible piece of meat with over half left as it was stringy fat, you can buy better in the supermarket and at quarter the price, i know you pay for the experience in restaurants however if this is the case we deserve a refund. My dining partner had the Moroccan Chicken (recommended by her mum!!), was again a terrible bit of dark chewy meat, not appetizing in the slightest, we ended up leaving over half our food. The wine was nice, but then again they didnt make that!Did we complain when asked about the meal?? hell no, were british!!!

Lovely spot, shame about the food.. Yes, the Duck House is in the best location to dine in Ruislip, and when it was Blubeckers it used to be very good food- now that it is the Duck House it has really really deteriorated. The new renovations are nice but the food is DISMAL. No wonder the place isn’t as packed as it used to be. They took a long time to serve us a drink, didn’t have the main I had been looking forward to, and the watiress tried hard but didn’t know what was supposed to come with what I finally ordered. My husband and I dined there last night and when the bill came they gave us coupons towards a free entree for next time. I tore them up. We won’t be returning again. What a shame.

Terrible meal. We went for a birthday event and I have to say it was one of the worst meals that I have ever had. Apart from the fact that they reeled of a list of menu items that they had run out (I can just about understand that) the food that we ate was awful. I ordered a burger without the bun, a dried up lump of beef was served to me without any salad garnish, when I sent it back they put on a slice of tomato and a lettuce leaf on my plate. The other person in our party had a grisly cold roast beef dinner. I was unwell throughout the night when I got home. I wrote in and the only area that they addressed was the lack of choice but not the quality, they offered us a free Sunday lunch. I wrote back explaining I was more concerned with the quality and as they had not addressed that in their reply felt that I could not face another poor meal so would be declining their offfer. I copied this response into head office and strangely have not had a response from either. I will never eat there again. On top of that is was quite expensive and cost over 130.00 for 6 of us and four alcoholic drinks.

Worst Restaurant in Ruislip. We were dismayed with our meal, as none of us could actually eat anything (we all had different meals). The Duck House was amongst the best restaurants in Ruislip but now the standards have severely deteriorated. The meat was tough and unappetising. I brought my turkey back for the cat – and even she turned her nose up at it! Unfortunately we didn’t complain at the time as it was birthday event which would have made it even worse! None of us wil be returning to this restaurant again until standards improve.

Worst meal in years. Booked table for 11 people but were told we could only have the table for 2 hours. Should have not bothered. My first course the duck pate came with half a slice of toast which was not enough to eat the pate with. Chose the roast pork and crackling for the main. When it came the crackling was missing. No response to first request but when asked again I was told that the soft fat around the edge is what their chef called crackling. Worst meal in a long time

A lovely restuarant inside but not one of our large party cleared their plate, not because there was too much but because the food could have been better. They very kindly did a veggie pasta for me of taglitelli in a mushroom and cream sauce, which was really warm cream with wild mushrooms – made me feel quite sick 🙁 It’s very expensive for what it is, I wouldn’t eat here again.
