Really wish they would read reviews and put things right!!!. I didn’t check customer reviews until after my visit–but seems like the same mistakes are being reported consistently. The beef and steak burger are both shockers (flavourless leather). In a restaurant this pricey you have to learn how to cook (and select) meat! This could be a fabulous place. It is looking good and in a great situation–and the online menu is better than Bluebeckers ever was (although the various menus handed out in the restuarant need sorting out–and the waiter is full of made-up explanations of the ingredients!). I would like to come back but they need to get this in hand or they won’t last long–which would be a shame. Please read these comments and take seriously. A few things were quite good but too many careless mistakes.

The fish pie was the only thing that arrived at our table that visually matched the prices being charged. The burgers we’re vile she’d the onion ring side orders were pale and hollow. Overpriced bar food and such a waste of a lovely location.
Talk about undignified!. My boyfriend and I went to The Duck House to have a quiet meal. We arrived and were immediately looked up and down by the waitress. Yes, I dress somewhat vintage and my boyfriend is into his music but that doesnt mean you shove us in the back of the restaurant where the chairs are either broken or mismatched, ignore us or serve us in such a manner we thought about walking out. The food arrived was terrible. It was cold, dry and clearly had been reheated. I also dont care for being shoved in the back away from the other customers. Our money is just as good as anyone else’s and we deserve to be treated the same. I will never return. Sort out your food, your manners and realise this is not how you treat people!
