Yet another dessert lounge to make it’s way on the high street. With Baskin Robbins across the road and a handful of coffee franchises dotted up and down the high street, I don’t know whether people would consider going to eat at their local eatery, favouring the franchises.Yet, VA Dessert Lounge was quite busy when I arrived to sample the amazing ice creams on offer. The interior is clean and simple, and the large windows provide light, and you can see outside, regardless of where you’re sat.I ordered the Oreo Sundae, which cost just under 5. The portion was generous, well worth the money and better than any dessert that you could find on the high street. thefaultsandfailuresofan18yearold.blogspot.com
A very welcome addition to the top end of Ruislip High Street. A genuine local enterprise providing relief from the plethora of chains that fill retail Britain. The premises themselves are spotless, with a clean contemporary design, consisting of traditional tables and chairs and more comfy sofas and coffee tables. A warm welcome awaits and on offer a stunning range of home made cakes and desserts, freshly made waffles, delicious minghella ice cream and sorbets. Prices are more than competitive and portion sizes are generous. A wide range of hot and cold drinks are available, including a reviving cappuccino for significantly less than you will pay in either of the tired chains further down the High Street.A must visit.
