We waited over an hour for average soup and the worlds blandest spaghetti puttanesca and rubber calamari flanked by watery polenta. The waiter was not interested in the usual waitressing code of conduct and we were offered no apology for the long wait. Unsurprisingly the service charge was included already which was a final slap in the (starved and annoyed) face. Avoid at all cost unless you love being ignored, hungry, and ripped off.

Wow. So we took the short trip from the Olympia Convention Centre to this great restaurant. I had the seafood linguine pescatore. The wife had the lasagna. Hers was good ( she says great? But mine was fantastic!! Perfect blend of herbs and flavors. We sat outside which is the best seat in the house but the road is pret noisy from 5-8pm. We had a bottle of the house red wine. I was pretty good but considerably less expensive than the other wines on the menu. For starters we had the Insalata Caprese ( tomato and mozzarella cheese with basicl drizzle). That was fresh and delicious!!I would highly recommend this restaurant as it was a gem! The waiter was great a d service was good.

Fabulous authentic Italian. Romano’s is a fabulous slice of authentic Italy in the heart of Kensington. I chose the Orata di Mare al Forno – baked Sea Bream. It was so fresh I could have been dining on the Italian shore eating the day’s catch straight from the sea! My friends also loved their meals, tucking into Canelloni con Ricotta e Spinaci and Penne Quattro Formaggi. A family run restaurant with impeccable and friendly service from Romano himself. All 3 of us will definitely be back for 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, 5ths…

I quite often go here and have no idea why everyone is complaining so much, I guess you can’t please everyone especially when they are willing to compare the fast food in pizza hut against something made by a true artisan! I have been there many times and everything I have had is been delightful!

If you like good , genuine, Italiaan food you should find somewhere else to eat. The food was low quality and poorly prepared. Everything the other guy said about the pizza is true Topped off by incessant Abba. A great disappointment.

Jill Bulman. If you want to have a wonderful Italian meal in a genuine Italian restaurant with very reasonable prices, I would highly recommend Romano’s. I have been there 4/5 now. Whether part of a group or with just a friend each time Romano and his staff have made it a special occasion. The service and food is excellent and Romano himself is always friendly and msakes you feel at home. I’ve worked with a major airline and am fortunate enough to experience good cuisine in various restaurants around the world and I must say that Romano’s is one of the nicest I’ve been to, for the reasons stated above

Worst pizza in London. Me and my boyfriend were looking for a nice Italian before heading to the Royal Albert Hall, only a 10 minute walk away. We walked past Romanos and it seemed perfect. It is on a quiet street, small cosy and all the staff were Italian. However the pizzas were dreadful, I have never been to a Pizzahut, but after eating a slice I wish we had rather gone to The Hut on the corner. I was however hungry so I ate half, but was unable to finnish. The house wine was good and the service OK. I told the manager or owner that the pizza was tasteless, but rather than doing anything it seemed to spark an arugment in the kitchen (the door was open). Anyway, my advice would be not to go and if you have to, do not have the pizzas.
