Locals love the Ladbroke Arms. It has that old world pub charm where you bring your dogs in and have a boozy Sunday lunch. Personally I think the decor inside is a little dated but it’s one of my favourite places in the summer – the outdoor deck is great and filled with some interesting characters.
This place came highly recommended and I was a little disappointed. Perhaps we were there at the wrong time of day (4pm) and I didn’t eat there – so can’t judge the food. Always good to see an independent (non chain) pub doing well, but the interiors were quite drab. On the other hand the flowers were lovely. Pop in if you’re passing but don’t go out of your way!
