Not really a place for dinner. More of a local’s pub than a place to take your partner for a romantic meal. In fact the pub doesn’t really understand the concept of a romantic venue. That’s not a criticism, it’s just how the place is. They do a quiz every week, though they don’t like it if you win too often. That is a criticism. Beer is the standard fare you get for a town pub, with a few proper ales, and a a few lagers. The place is clean enough, but it’s eclipsed by other venues. Occasionally there are bands playing, to add a biro of variety. So a place for a drink, not a bite to eat.
