For the price the food is excellent, well beyond standard pub fare. Huge range of beers, nice atmosphere, great place for a night out, but useful to make a reservation if you want to sit and eat.
Good pub food. A popular pub by the train station, offering weary commuters a chance to have a cheeky tipple before heading home. The food is good, though the dedicated restaurant could do with increasing in size. That said, you can eat anywhere in the pub, and there is extensive seating outside. Sometimes, despite the extra seating, you may still struggle to find somewhere to sit. Dogs welcome and there is a wealth of real ales and spirits to choose from. Don’t expect to get a pint of Carling or other cooking lagers, though…
