Poor. I was not pleased with the poor level of customer service at Sarchnar. The waiter seemed frustrated when I started to ask about the different sauces that accompanied the Biryani. Service was quick, but the food tasted awful. The best part of the meal was the lentil soup, which was complementary. The minced meat kebab had no seasoning at all whatsoever and the chicken had been infused with way too much garlic. We were overloaded with bread yet had very little in which to dip it. I’m sorry but I don’t do rice and bread without sauce!! I suggest they use smaller plates in which to serve their food as the waiter struggled to find space on our table for the very few dishes we had ordered. When I went up to pay I noticed the soup bowl, from which our complementary lentil soup came, was in a terrible mess. Soup had fallen down the sides of the cauldron, yet no attempt had been made to clean up the mess: I felt disgusted. To top it off the gentleman who took my payment was very inattentive and far too busy talking to his colleague. He handed my card back with his face turned towards his colleague in deep conversation. I will not be going back. Sorry Sarchnar, but for an Edgeware Rd joint I expect far better.
