Decent Indian fare, though I wouldn’t say all of it is Mughalai or even North Indian. If you don’t equate taste with authenticity, its a good place. Just be aware that they try to ‘enforce’ a cover charge of 1 main course per person, which can be an issue if you are considering a family style shared plates dinner.
In London, I was craving for Indian food and ended up going here. Ordered lamb biryani. Service was poor and taste was pathetic. It was no where close to Indian biryani taste. They are just fooling with the name of Mughal. There is no taste of mughali food
this is one of the bloody stupid hospitality shown restaurant in Paddington, couple of day’s back i had visited there and one of the bloody staff with moustache misbave me saying they dont have single sitting available.,they offer seating only for families, i inform him kep one board outside stating the same.also i inform authorities about this.also i had check with other visitor’s , they too have same openion about this restaurant. next i follow to another restaurant name ,tajmahal.it was nice, staffs and owner behaving well.
I’m not a fan of Indian food while eating outside India. Ventured here last night and it was a delight. It’s an ordinary looking place. I asked the person serving that give me a spicy chicken (it’s rare to find in London). He got me chicken tikka balti. It was spicy and very very tasty. Had it with garlic Naan which was very soft and yummy. Feel like trying more stuff here.
First dinner in London, tired, cold, hungry, we opted for this small Indian restaurant located near the apartment. We were hungry, very hungry. We ordered butter chicken, lamb, lentil soup, chicken tandoori and nam x 5! The food was overall tasty and traditional with a hint of too genuine service.Cool place with few friends and few beers!
nothing Mughal about them 🙂 . plain simple indian type restaurant with standard fare. being a vegetarian is a curse with very limited options. opted for paneer dish , very aptly hid behind what should be paalak paneer. maybe lamb/chicken/seafood eaters would rate it differently. i would skip it if i am around here next time.
Had a great meal yesterday at the Mughals. Very good food, service and ambiance. When there, be sure to order the freshly baked naan bread!Liked the blue lights lightning up when you go down or up the stairs when you visit the toilets. And for the Dutch in London: fish and chips is Brits, maar Londen bezoeken zonder Indiaas te eten kan ook niet. Hier zit je voor een eerlijk bedrag echt heel goed Indiaas te eten vind ik.
