The Waterside Cafe was the first place I was advised to go to when I first moved in the area. Little Venice is a beautiful area and the opportunity to get into one of the canal boats and have a nice lunch or coffee is something you don’t want to miss.I have been there many times and it’s definitely one of my favourite places in London. The food is amazing, the coffee is great and the atmosphere pretty unique. The breakfast and the omelettes are the best so you have to try those first and then you’ll want to keep coming back for more.I can not recommend this place enough! Just go ahead and go there and you’ll understand! darcrose22albionadventures.blogspot.com
Little Venice itself is such a charming area that it’d be tough to have a bad setting for a restaurant.Waterside Cafe is situated in a parked boat in the Thames waters. There are 5-6 tables inside and my first impression of the place was that it’s dirty. There was one table empty which was not cleaned up after the last person had left. We occupied it and ordered our food at the counter. When she brought the food she just took away the old plates but didn’t clean the table.Food is reasonably priced and if you are paying by card you have to order for a minimum of 10 pounds. The portions are considerably big. We ordered French toast, and scrambled eggs with toast (both very average) home made soup of the day (quite good) and carrot cake (quite bad)The view from the restaurant is certainly good (see the picture attached) but if they were serving good food, I would have thought of going again. londoncoffeeblog.com
