Clean, beautiful space. Delicious pastries made with such care and attention to detail. The takeaway boxes are absolutely adorable and the staff is very polite. What a happy finding.
I was missing Japan a lot and then I noticed we just had WA around the corner. It looks like those patisseries you will find in Japan (with their view on western bakery) and guess what it’s really delicious! We’ve tried 2 cakes, 1 chocolate one which felt like a brownie, so creamy inside but not too sweet and also a strawberry cake which felt so light and fresh. Coffee was pretty good too. I don’t give it 5 starts because it’s almost impossible to find a table. Service is really helpful, friendly and polite. Will be back as soon as I can misslillysjourneys.wordpress.com
Good real Japanese pastry and tea. Usually we go for desserts after lunch in Ealing. Super friendly Japanese staff. Good hygiene and lighting wither you come for a date or just taking a coffee break. However, the place is very popular, and isn’t big. So you may have to wait for awhile when is busy. Most time I can get a seat soon enough but sometimes I just order my favourite sesame cheese cakes to go. Highly recommended. (The whole cakes require 3 days to order one).
The only place in London where you can find real Japanese style patisserie and bread(soft, milky, filled etc). For people who like matcha, their matcha roll cake is so good !!!
Their cabinet display for cakes and fancy breads will make your mouth water. We couldn’t get a table as they were a bit busy so had to do a takeaway instead. Their choux trio was out of this world. Heavenly choux pastry filled with sesame cream, green tea cream, and vanilla cream with red bean paste. Yum! operationgoodfood.wordpress.com
You’ll often find me where there’s any matcha dessert! So here I was at WA Cafe eager to try their matcha roll after travelling for over an hour to get to this cafe located in Ealing Broadway. Yes, what can I say.. that’s how committed I am to eating anything matcha!! I’m also glad to report that the long and treacherous journey (not really that treacherous) was worth it! I think their matcha roll is the best I’ve had in London. It’s soft, moist and everything you could wish for in a cake! My roll partnered with my matcha latte was the perfect combination for a lazy Saturday afternoon. I also ordered the raspberry and pistachio tart which was nice, but nothing compared to the roll. I also like that WA Cafe serves savoury dishes (I noticed their Japanese curry bun was popular) so you can make a meal out of your visit. maomeetsmeat.wordpress.com
WA caf is along the street from the station, modern with colourful rows of Japanese breads and pastries on display. The caf was very busy with people coming in and out; the struggle was to find a free table.Besides my beloved matcha green tea latte, I ordered strawberry shortcake to eat in. Matcha green latte is served in authentic Japanese cookware, clay cup with no handles and a wooden teaspoon. Of course, the strawberry shortcake delivered. Light fluffy pillow cake decadent sponge layers, lightly whipped cream finished with scrummy fresh strawberries. thefoodconnoisseur.co.uk
