Dinning at midsummer house was the most wonderful experience. The food was exceptional, from the canaps to the theatrical celariac dish (won’t say anymore so as not to ruin the suprise!), to the homemade chocolates it was all so beautifully put together and tasted wonderful. What really made the experience was the staff, they were all so welcoming and friendly. Whilst it is an expensive meal it was worth every penny!
Top class resturant – average location. Very good restaurant, over-priced for what it is but then isnt that what all posh restaurants are these days. What it lacks is that sense of occasion. Its really just a big bright and rather chilly room in Cambridge. We went to the Tower bridge restaurant 2 weeks ago and that was way more interesting, not really a fair comparison as the tower bridge events has the stunning view over the Thames so its straight away a luxury event before you even sit down, midsummer might be a riverside venue but has a semi naff view of the cam. . . . saying that it is quality catering.
