The absolute worst. THE OWNER WILL NOT PAY HIS STAFF!!!! I worked for Abdul and was repeatedly mistreated and yelled at in front of customers for loads of things and I decided to quit and he WONT PAY ME! I have had to get my lawyer involved and he still hasn’t payed me and he will be taken to court very soon. The food is subpar but that can’t make up for the suffocating smell of misogyny and bigotry when you walk in the door. Leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Also the cakes etc that Abdul says are fresh are anything but such. He leaves them out on the counter without refrigeration.
Hi Had lunch here last Sunday with four other adults.I had booked it the previous day and knew from the web site pictures of the beautifully themed room down the stairs. We all started with a light salid that included home made bread and humous, olives and it tasted great witha drizzel of Olive oil. The portions were filling for a starter and tasted great. For the main course we ordered x4 Lamb tagines served with couscous that had been cooked with a little safron rice and x1 Chicken Tagine with rice. They came piping hot served in their own individual tajine dome shaped pots that formed a serving plate once the dome had been removed.I found the combination of Lamb and prunes with the couscous very satifying.Unfortunately there was no room left for desert but Abdul (the owner) presented us with little sweetened Baclaika cakes. My sister who is a bit of a pud impressario had a portion of his special Apple pie at which point despite her various attempts he would not devulge any of the inside secrets other than brambley apples and not to soak the sdded fruit. All around a great end to a great day out.
