As most of the other reviews in Canary Wharf – someone at work invited me for lunch and this was their usual haunt on a Friday. In we went and the set up wasn’t too bad. What you’d expect for a pub.We each ordered the fish and chips and a pint and we were set.The food took very little time to get to us and it was a pretty big plate full. Fish was coated perfect, chips crunchy and thick and the peas were well cooked too.The pint was nice and cold and the staff friendly. Will return to get a cold beer and a filling meal for a good price.
This one’s FSA (now FCA’s) own backyard bar and they have their back entrance open right into the bar. Not surprising (my guess) it remains empty, after all who would want to end up chatting with the regulators totally drunk and puking out their dirty secrets! Please note that is only a figment of my wild imagination. What makes it unpopular is its horrible location being right under the DLR tracks. With construction for cross rail going right in front, the scenes if any are not pleasant. However once cross rail complex opens, this one would surely be the place to be in.Brodies is the only pub/ restaurant which has always offered discount to taste card holders. They have a nice seating area, so dinner here should be worth trying.
