Decided to visit this place after reading few reviews. But the whole experience was all about HORRIBLE food and even HORRIBLE customer service!!! The so called service manager and servers in this joint have a pathetically annoying attitude. Eating in or take out should both be AVOIDED as if this place was plagued. The food is tasteless, Oily and smelly -definitely cannot to be included in the edible list. The tofu rice we had ordered didn’t have any taste, no salt or any seasoning – seems like egg rice cooked in bulk dumped on the plate smothered with tasteless tofu slime. We decided to give them a benefit of doubt and ordered mix veg noodles – this was the even worse. Felt like the noodles were swimming in a pool of oil before being dumped on the plate. The servers annoying face and equally annoying attitude was enough for us to realise that a bunch of morons are running the show in this shitty place.Expecting these morons to have any idea of customer service is a complete waste of effort.
Have been having excellent food here for the last two years until now. It’s been recently taken over and it was obvious immediately that the food is not the same unfortunately. I was extremely disappointed with my lunch and left most of it and I will no longer be the regular that I was which is jarring because their lunch specials were very good value.
The Lunch special is fantastic value. Starter and mains for just a tenner! All the dishes have a great good honest authentic feel, but the star of the show are the grilled dumplings. Each mouthful is a burst of delicious steaming broth and delicate pork mince wrapped in a chewy crisp skin. The other starters are good but you HAVE to try the dumplings.
It is a shame to have to go this far out for a good chinese to be delivered to Shoreditch but I had a insatiable craving for wanton soup, perhaps from the temporary pregnancy I was experiencing, the food baby I was harbouring from DF Mexico. The food was good, plenty of flavour and not oily – something I am weary of when ordering fried food and noodles. The wanton soup really hit the spot, if a little salty, the wantons were enough on their own to carry the dish. If you’re struggling for Chinese food delivered to Shoreditch personally I think this is your best bet.
I’m quite notorious and well known to go out on a food marathon. After yoomoo, the parlour and some wii zumba fitness workout my belly started calling for food. I was suddenly craving black bean sauce with ho fun. My friend drove us to noodle street in limehouse and I got what I wanted. Portions was huge and the hk style milk bubble tea hit the spot. The chicken was soft, the ho fun tasted fresh like the ones I have from the ho fun factory in Chinatown.I did nibbled on my other friends dishes. The salt and pepper pork steak was yummy.Noodle street gets top marks for the meat, although some of the sauces was too salty for my liking. That salt and pepper steak was good! Need to try the rest of the food out. thefoodconnoisseur.co.uk
Bad service. Live near by, used to go there almost every week, introduce few of my friends, but their customer service is really bad. specially the oriental lady( mid age). she is rude, everytime i go there it seems like that lady just hate me…..
Yummy. Portions could be bigger but this is not chinatown.
