Outdoor space is lovely. I’ve had a bad meal previously at another Drake and Morgan establishment, so knew to stick to pub classics this time. I started with the calamari which was pleasant, if a little greasy. Served with commercial mayo instead of homemade alioli. Of the other starters ordered at our table, the person who got the scotch egg was happiest.My main of wagyu beef burger was okay. There was no choice regarding cooking times. Burgers are only cooked well done. Toppings of blue cheese and relish were pleasant. I tasted some of the other mains. The Thai green chicken curry was bland. Chicken burger was nice.Our shared sides of sweet potato fries and parmesan fries were not great. Greasy and soft. They don’t deep fry at the correct temperature.
